THE EFFECT OF SELF-CONFIDENCE ON STUDENTS' LEARNING MOTIVATION AT STATE VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL 1 TOMPASO BARU

This research aims to determine the effect of self-confidence on students' learning motivation at SMK Negeri 1 Tompaso Baru. In this research, a survey research method was used, with the collection tool using a questionnaire. Data was processed using a regression analysis tool. The results of the research show that there is a significant influence of the variable Self-Confidence of Tompaso Baru State Vocational School Students on Learning Motivation. This is indicated by the results of data analysis using regression analysis Y = a + bX obtained Y = 2.178 + 0.982 X. The calculation results can be interpreted that the value of the regression coefficient b is 0.982 which states that every additional one level of student self-confidence is predicted to increase Learning Motivation by 0.982 units, at a constant value of 2.178. Thus it can be said that the better the Self-Confidence, the Student Learning Motivation will increase, and can also improve student learning achievement.
