THE IMPACT OF LITERACY CULTURE AND EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE ON STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES AT SMP N 3 MOTOLING TIMUR

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine how students at SMP N 3 motoling timur's literate and emotionally intelligent backgrounds affect their academic performance. This study used a survey technique and polled a representative sample of 36 undergraduates. Questionnaires, in-person interviews, and written records all play roles in the data gathering process. The data from the research was put through a battery of statistical tests, including simple and multiple correlations as well as multiple linear regressions. (1) There is a significant relationship between students' literacy backgrounds (X1) and their achievement in social studies (Y) in eighth grade at SMP N 3 Motoling east (tcalculate = 325.59 > ttabel = 2.032 and Fcalculate = 14.173> Ftabel = 4.130). According to (2), tcalculate = 6.172> ttable = 2.032 and Fcalculate = 31.192 > Ftable = 4.130 indicate that emotional intelligence (X2) influences learning outcomes (Y) by 91.80%. Students at SMP Negeri 3 Motoling Timur's Learning Outcomes (Y) are influenced by both Literacy Culture (X1) and Emotional Intelligence (X2), with a combined impact of 20.67 percent (Fcalculate = 9.453 > Ftabel = 3.285).
