Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of socioeconomic status and academic guidance on the learning achievement of students in Economics in grade XI of SMA Negeri 2 Tondano. The population of this study consists of all students in grade XI IPS of SMA Negeri 2 Tondano, totaling 45 students, and the research sample consists of 45 students. The research results indicate that socioeconomic status (X1) has a positive and significant influence on learning achievement (Y). Therefore, the first hypothesis is accepted. The research results also indicate that academic guidance (X2) has a positive and significant influence on learning achievement (Y). Therefore, the second hypothesis is accepted. The research results further show that socioeconomic status (X1) and academic guidance (X2) jointly have a positive and significant influence on learning achievement (Y). Therefore, the third hypothesis is accepted.
