ANALYSIS OF ACCOUNTING INFORMATION SYSTEMS FOR CREDIT PROVISION AT THE JAYA SINAR MAKMUR SAVINGS AND LOAN COOPERATIVE MONTHLY UNIT IN MANADO

This study aims to analyze the application of accounting information systems in the credit granting process at the Jaya Sinar Makmur Monthly Unit Credit Union in Manado, as well as to assess the effectiveness of these systems in supporting the effectiveness of recording, reporting, and credit decision-making, and even in controlling credit risk. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with primary and secondary data, through interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the accounting information system at KSP Jaya Sinar Makmur Bulanan Manado Unit is functioning quite well in the credit granting process. However, the system used is not yet fully integrated and is not computer-based in several important aspects, especially those related to accounting information system components such as software and information technology infrastructure. This causes data management (input-process-output) to be less efficient, increases the risk of errors in the recording process, and slows down the monitoring of loans granted, especially non-performing loans.
