Abstract

The purpose of this research is to compare the effectiveness of the conventional learning model and the STAD type of cooperative learning on the learning capacity of grade XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Tondano. Experiments employing a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design were employed in this investigation. All XI social studies majors at SMA Negeri 2 Tondano 50 students made up the population of this research. A total of 50 students from two classes, XI 1 and 25, and XI 2 made up the sample for this research. Tests and documentation are used in the data-collecting process. According to the study, r is computed at 0.93, and the t table is 2.093 when r is rabel with dk = n-1 = 20-1 = 19, with dk 19 and error level of 0.05. Consequently, Ha is accepted, and t hit > t table.
